What to know about the Digital SAT

The SAT is now taken entirely on a computer or tablet using the Blue Book app. You can use your own device (laptop/iPad) or a school-issued device.

SAT Key Features

  • The entire test is now 2 hours and 14 minutes (down from 3+ hours).
  • The test adapts to your performance.
  • Each section (Reading/Writing & Math) is split into two “modules.” How you perform on the first module determines the difficulty of the questions you see in the second module, and the scores are typically available in days, not weeks.
